The Beta’s Mate is here and 99 cents for a limited time.

Nina’s tired of the lies and disappearances. Her marriage is on the verge of dissolving, but fate has other ideas. Now if she could only get in touch with her soon-to-be ex.
Logan hates that his wife filed for divorce, even though everyone tells him it’s for the best. He’s the beta of the pack—second in command—and she’s human. When he discovers he’s going to be a father, he’ll do anything to keep Nina and the baby safe. But will she let him back in when she finds out he’s been lying to her for years about turning into a giant wolf?

Here’s a short excerpt (Warning it’s a little spicy) -  They sat quietly for a long moment. Logan’s thumb rubbed up and down her knuckles and she embraced the comfort of his touch. Even after everything, his touch sent every nerve on fire. His knee brushed against hers as he moved on the bed and she inhaled.
Logan’s gaze raked over her, clearly picking up on her arousal. “I’ve missed you, Nina.”
Her breath caught in her throat as Logan leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. She should push him away and leave the room—or better yet head back into town to get as far away from him as possible. Instead, her fingers went to his bare shoulders.
“Nina,” he said against her mouth while cupping her face. “I love you.”
She squeezed her eyes shut. The words were at the tip of her tongue, but she couldn’t say them. Nothing had changed. She didn’t know if there was anything Logan could do to make it better, but for the life of her, she didn’t want him to stop kissing her.
Logan’s mouth peppered kisses along her jaw and then to her ear. He gently nibbled on her lobe and she swallowed, pulling him closer instead of shoving him away. Heat pooled in her core as she tilted her head back to give him better access. Her fingers trailed along his chiseled chest; she’d forgotten how good he felt.
Gently, he pushed her back against the plush pillows. Using his knee, he nudged her thighs apart and settled between her legs as he continued to kiss his way down her neck. His fingers went to the hem of her shirt, rolling it up and over her head to expose her bare breasts. He leaned down and took one bud into his mouth, then moved on to the other.
Nina scratched her nails up and down his back, moaning as his length pressed against her core. Though the pants he wore were thin, there were entirely too many articles of clothing separating them. She needed to feel him, all of him, inside her.

“Annie, this is Ram. Ram, this is Annie.”

She felt an awareness that told her this man meant something to her. “Pleased to meet you,” She said and held out her hand. Ram gripped it and a shock went through her whole body. Her eyes widened in surprise and so did his.

“Is it hot in here or is it just me?” Cam asked with a nervous chuckle.

“Cam, excuse us for a moment and shut the door on your way out,” Ram instructed.

Annie thought that it was weird for Ram to throw Cam out of his office like that. She heard the door close and now they were alone. Ram used her hand to pull her up against him and his arms wrapped around her. His lips dropped to hers and he kissed her gently. “You feel it too, don’t you?” He asked.

She nodded. This man was hers. It seemed her spell had worked after all. Whatever the spell had done, had probably caused him to be here. How would he feel when he found out what she had done? It couldn’t be too bad if it had led them to each other, right?

He kissed her again, except this time it wasn’t sweet or gentle. It was a claiming kiss that left her in no doubt as to who she belonged to or what he wanted. It left her feeling raw and needy. It also made her wish they were alone in bed anywhere they wouldn’t be disturbed.

“I woke up this morning nude on a beach. Do you know anything about that?” He asked.

Annie did as he wanted. She got in the middle so he would have room to position himself any way he wanted. Nothing was going to stop them now. Ram got on the bed and moved on top of her. He leaned on his forearms keeping his weight off her and fencing her in so she couldn’t escape.

“I’ve got you now, Annie, and I’m never letting you go.” Ram whispered in her ear. His hot breath hitting her made goosebumps rise and she writhed with need. It took almost nothing on his part to turn her on.

“Take me, I’m yours.” Trite? Maybe, but also oh so true.

Lowering his chest to where his body touched hers, his mouth claimed hers in a deep kiss where his tongue licked and tasted every nook and cranny of her mouth. Heat seemed to emanate from him, more than she had expected. Annie had heard many shifters ran hot, but Ram was smoking.

His chest rumbled either with desire or the needs of his beast. It made her wonder for the hundredth time what that beast was. Rare? Without a doubt, but what could possibly justify this level of identity safeguarding? Ram began to work his way down her body licking and nipping, causing the ability to form clear thoughts to leave her.

By the time he made it to the space between her thighs, Annie was a primitive creature feeling only the pleasure he gave her. The sounds she made were animalistic as she spread her legs wide and arched up toward him. Her fingers were twisted in his hair, holding him in place.

“More.” She grunted and groaned.

Ram slid one of his large hands under her ass and cupped her cheeks, tilting her up slightly. The position opened her up further to him. With his other hand, he slid a finger into her hot, wet pussy even as his tongue worked her clit. He added a second finger and finally a third to stretch and prepare her.

Kissed by Fire by Michelle Fox

Caught up in the supernatural slave trade, mermaid Mila Sealight needs saving, not promises of undying love from a cursed, fire breathing shifter. But allies are scarce, making the down-on-their-luck dragons of Scotland her only hope.

When dragon Niall MacTeine boards the slaver boat with his brothers, he knows they are going to save people, he just never expected to be rescued himself. He’s been cursed a long time and has started to give up hope.

Everything changes when Niall is thrown overboard while fighting the slavers and Mila gives him the ‘kiss of the sea’ to save him from drowning. That’s when it hits him—she’s the key to his freedom.

But breaking the curse that locks him in his human form requires trust and an open heart. Neither of which Mila gives lightly. Niall will have to prove he’s worth the risk in order to claim his fated maiden. And he will pay the ultimate price in the process.

This is book 2 in the Maidens series but it stands alone. You’ll have more fun if you read book 1 Kiss the Dragon (which was a USA Today bestseller) but it’s not required.

Excerpt 1 PG

Niall turned back toward the surface and then glanced back at me, torn. He needed to breathe, but I needed him to stay under water. I cast a quick song, a lure that forced him to me. As he came closer, unable to resist my call, I saw the panic in his eyes.

I kept singing, not nearly as heartless as he might have imagined me to be. Together, we would survive this. He just had to do what I asked. I lured him down to the bottom of the ocean, until we were face-to-face. Then, before he could think twice and make an escape, I leaned forward, capturing his lips with mine.

He was hot enough to make me gasp. A fire ran through his flesh, warming mine. I drank it in, relishing the added heat in these cold northern waters. He tasted good, too. Like salt mixed with something sweet. I couldn’t quite place where the sweetness came from, but I liked it so much, I kept darting my tongue into his mouth for more, even though that was not required for the magic I sought to cast.

Niall fought me at first, not much, but enough that I could tell he didn’t understand what I was doing. Which was mostly saving his life and mine. The fact I liked kissing him so much was immaterial. I hummed a soothing tune to relax him and deepened our kiss. Once I was satisfied the magic had taken, I sealed my lips around his and blew as much air as I could into his mouth. He gulped it in, his eyes widening as the life-giving air hit his system.

Vanished is FREE

Blurb: Bewitched by her beauty, he can’t possibly kill her.

Vampire Zak Smith has one mission: kill the enemy. The only problem is that everything about her draws him in, questioning his duty. With his vampire clan at war with Cadence Hopewell’s witch coven, he’s torn between his family and his desire.

But when Zak and Cadence are catapulted together into the past, they must rely on each other for survival. Suddenly, danger surrounds them and Cadence must tap into her unstable and shaky powers. As they uncover the truth about their families and their history, can the two sworn enemies find love and a future together in the present?

Excerpt from Chapter One: Zak glared at the empty house. Cadence’s sweet lilac and vanilla perfume wafted in the air. For the first time, in his very long life, he was torn. He’d been genuine and allowed his undead heart to feel.
For half a second, he’d believed the breathtaking witch was going to give him a chance—until she betrayed him. Tonight had been a shame. She’d lured him out with the specific purpose of playing on his feelings for her. All so her friends could attempt to murder his brother. To make matters worse, his mother was back and preparing to kill him and his siblings. This night sucked. Someone needed to pay.
He’d left his house determined to make Cadence suffer for her part in this. The sooner she was eliminated, the better. She was a distraction he couldn’t afford.
He should kill her now, yet as he stood outside her home he couldn’t bring himself to harm her. What was it about her? It angered him that one girl had gotten under his skin so much. What is happening to me? Surely, I’m not going soft.
Headlights shone down the darkened road and he stepped forward, walking across the street to stand next to the driveway. The familiar red car’s blinker turned on a second before it came to a halt in the center of the road. Cadence peered at him from behind the windshield. She chewed on her lower lip and he could see the indecision on her face. Will she make a run for it? He could catch her if she tried, but did he really want to? Could he end her life? She was his enemy.
Cadence ran a hand through her wavy, sandy blonde hair, closed her brown eyes, and then opened them as she inched the car into the driveway. She glared at him through her windshield, never once letting her gaze stray from his.
She hesitated, letting the car idle as her fingers gripped the steering wheel. Her eyes widened and her human heart sped up as it pulsed within her chest.
His gums ached as he imagined what her sweet, hot blood would taste like. She’d be delicious, of course. What would it be like to drain her dry? Would he feel remorse as she gasped her last breath? Yes. Somehow the little witch wiggled her way into his heart and he couldn’t fathom how that happened. It had been years since he’d cared for someone other than family. He narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her as he waited for her to make a move.
Her gaze flicked away from his and her hand went to her neck, brushing aside her sandy blonde curls as she rubbed her throbbing pulse point. Does she possess the power to read minds? Her fingers trailed across her throat as she glared. Perhaps she does.
To his surprise, instead of throwing the car in reverse and pealing out, she shut the car off. The door creaked open and, after inhaling a deep breath, she stepped out into the cool night air.
That was why he liked her. She might be afraid, but she didn’t let it rule her. Any other witch would’ve bolted by now. He admired her for standing up to him; so few ever did, actually, no one ever did. She told him how she felt to his face rather than behind his back. He admired her honesty.
Cadence slowly made her way around the car and stopped several feet away from him. “Are you going to kill me?” she asked bluntly as she raised her arm, readying to do some sort of witchy voodoo on him should he attack.
The answer should be yes, but he couldn’t do it. He gritted his teeth and balled his fists at his side. Damn it! She was a weakness, one he needed to eliminate—now. He should attack, tear into her neck and drink her life force dry. “No,” he said, betraying his thoughts.
“Then why are you here?” she asked, dropping her hand to her side.
“You betrayed me, Cadence,” he told her honestly. “Why would you come home? You know I can get in there,” he modestly stated, nodding to the house. Either she was extremely fearless or just that stupid. His vote was fearless. Cadence was too smart to have forgotten he’d been invited into her home.
“This is my house and I refuse to live in fear. So if you’re not going to hurt me, or kill me, please leave. I have company coming,” she replied as she held her ground.
He sighed, inhaling the fresh, cool night air drifting toward him carrying a hint of her perfume. She smelled amazing. All he wanted to do was hold her close and breathe in her intoxicating scent. But she wasn’t his. Not only that, she was his enemy. “I really did want to get to know you, Cadence.”
She huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. “How did you think this was going to turn out? My loyalty is to the coven. That’s no secret. You marched into town and declared war on the witches. Maddie is my best friend and you and your siblings are trying to kill her. She’s like my sister and I’d do anything to protect her. Surely you can appreciate that.“
"Loyalty, family,” he mumbled. He could appreciate that. It didn’t change the fact that she’d betrayed him and was still breathing. He’d killed for far less than that.
“I’m sorry,” she said her voice barely above a whisper as she met his gaze. If he didn’t have vampire hearing, he wouldn’t have heard her.
He cocked his head. Most people apologized to him—eventually. More like they begged for forgiveness because they feared for their lives. This was different; Cadence was sincere. But why was she apologizing? She was right, he had attempted to off her best friend.
Zak opened his mouth, but paused as the soft sound of chanting rippled on the night air. Had she betrayed him yet again? He growled, snarling as he zipped toward her, grasping her shoulders as his fangs extended.
Cadence gasped, wriggling in his grip. “What are you doing?” she demanded as her eyes widened.
It’d be easy to latch onto her perfectly, pale neck and sample her right now, but something was wrong. He peered into her eyes; the deception and secrets that flourished there earlier during her treachery were not present now. Only fear and concern registered.
Flames shot up around them and Cadence screamed in surprise as she glanced around the inferno. Zak released her and spun on his heel.
His mother, Liana, approached, both arms outreached, chanting. Liana’s long mousy hair floated in the wind as the gusts picked up and flames danced in her mocha-tinged eyes. Her words were intelligible, but whatever she was doing couldn’t be good.
Zak leapt forward, but collapsed to the ground as dizzying pain sliced through his skull. The flames drew closer, growing hotter and causing sweat to bead on his brow. He scampered back and hopped to his feet as he stood protectively in front of the young witch. Whatever his mother planned for him, he didn’t want Cadence caught up in it.
He met his mother’s gaze and snarled. The fire flickered in his mother’s gray eyes, showing her for the monster she truly was. “Mother,” he hissed. “What is the meaning of this?”
“I truly am sorry for your involvement in this,” she said, turning her attention to Cadence. “You have a pure heart, but I saw an opportunity and I had to take it. I’m sure you can understand,” she said as she began chanting again.
“Mother!” Zak bellowed as he blocked Cadence completely from his mother’s view. His mother could attempt to harm him, but he wasn’t going to let her hurt Cadence.
The flames billowed higher and Cadence shrieked.
Smoke engulfed him and he coughed. The ground evaporated and the world whirled around him. He was falling into a black abyss. Where is Cadence? Did she make it out?

***

Cadence gasped as icy pain stabbed her. Dizzying darkness threatened to pull her under. Her cold surroundings were the only thing keeping her conscious. She opened her mouth to scream, but instead water flooded in. Her rubbery limbs sluggishly thrashed in the water. Which way is up and which way is down? Her lungs burned. The little bit of breath she had left wouldn’t last much longer. Her heart hammered as she sloshed through the murky water trying to find the surface.
Her chest burned, desperate to draw in a breath. Where is the surface? She whirled from side-to-side, her blonde hair cascading in the water as she fought to survive.
Arms encircled her waist and tugged hard. She rose above the surface, sputtering as she drew in a breath of air. Her lungs ached as she panted while coughing out water.
“I’ve got you,” Zak mumbled from behind her as he carried them both to the edge of the water. He pushed her onto the gritty dirt before crawling out next to her.
She rolled onto her back, coughing and gasping as she forced air into her lungs. Her heart hammered in her chest and she shivered as the icy air assaulted her.
Zak stood, offering his hand to her. Begrudgingly, she accepted his hand and allowed him to pull her to her feet.
Cadence stumbled as another bout of dizziness threatened to knock her back to the ground. Her teeth chattered violently—she half expected them to crack—and her breath puffed out in front of her. “What the hell happened?” she asked wrapping her arms around herself as she staggered to a fallen tree limb and sat down.
“My mother,” he growled.
His stormy blue eyes flashed golden and spidery black veins erupted around his temples. She took a step back as her heart kicked up a notch. He hadn’t harmed her yet, but given his current mood that could change. Sure, she was a witch, but her active powers were touch and go.
Zak closed his eyes, when he reopened them, they had returned to their normal silvery blue. He ran a hand through his auburn hair, sending the short locks into tiny spikes.
“Where are we?” she asked, pushing her drenched hair out of her face as she glanced around. They were in the middle of nowhere. Trees stretched as far as she could see surrounding the icy pond. There was no light or signs of life. Fantastic. She needed to get someplace warm and out of these wet clothes before she got hyperthermia.
He sighed, looking around the dark woods. “I don’t know,” he said shaking his head. His gaze continued to drift around the woods as he took a few small steps toward the tree line.
She groaned. “Well, isn’t this just great.” She pulled her cellphone out of her coat pocket, praying the water hadn’t ruined it. She touched the phone and let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding when the light illuminated. She started to dial, but stopped when she heard Zak laughing.
She glared at him trying to ignore the way his wet shirt clung to his body. How did I not notice his muscles before now? Yes, that is what I should be thinking about right now. Not!
“I don’t think that is going to work, sweetheart,” he sobered.
“Why not?” she hissed annoyed. He probably didn’t want her calling her friends. He was probably enjoying this. Hell, if Liana hadn’t been involved, she’d think he set this whole thing up. But Zak’s mother would never do anything to help him. She was hell bent on killing him and though she was here with him, it wasn’t Zak’s doing.
This was the only way he was ever going to get her alone. He should enjoy the moment while it lasted; she was getting out of here.
He looked around again and blew out a breath as he dragged his hand through his hair again. “Because I’m pretty sure the cellphone hasn’t been invented yet.”
“Excuse me!”

Meet the Guardian of the Zodiac and their companions the Dragon Guard of the Sea! Lost and thought dead, these mighty dragons arise from the depths to not only help to save all mankind but reunite with others of their kind.

The mission is simple – get into the enemy camp, free the humans, return the demons to Hell and return home the victor. For a Daughter of Poseidon and her constant companion, Drákon – a centuries old water dragon, that’s called a good day at work.

Everything is going as planned. Una, eldest daughter and Guardian of Pisces, has checked one and two off her list, and is headed to three when things get complicated. Brody Mason bows at her feet, pledging his allegiance to not only her but also, the gods and the Light. As a show of loyalty, he promises to take her to the portal from Hell and with his own blood help her close the door on the Underworld. This one act will rid the world of evil forever. There’s only one problem…he’s a Hellhound.

It doesn’t matter that Drákon doesn’t believe him, fearing it yet another trick of Hades to deter them from their mission or that there’s fire in his eyes and the smell of brimstone on his olive skin, she can feel the truth in his words. It also doesn’t hurt that with just one glance he sets her heart ablaze and her pulse racing. Not that this is about love or lust, it is all about saving the Earth, protecting the humans, defeating her uncle’s evil…or is it?

One leap of faith leads Una and Brody on a race against time and facing the fight of their lives. Hiding from Poseidon, Hades and an army of Guardians led by her sister, Zoe, this couple may have the best intentions but in the end, isn’t that what paves the road to Hell?

“They have invaded the entire western and southern borders. I fear the coast is next. I’m going to need you to go and help the humans with this battle. They are ill-equipped and just not strong enough to fight evil on such a widespread scale.”

Una looked at her father, Poseidon, the god of the sea, as he stood beside his periscope with a worried look. She’d never, in all the millennium since her birth, seen the great god anything but confident and unencumbered by the woes of the Earth and Her human population, but this was different and much more personal. She hated to see the deep lines feathering from his glowing blue eyes or the downturned expression emphasized by her thick white mustache and beard.

Family issues sucked, especially when you were a deity and your whims effected the world as everyone had come to know it. Hades, Una’s uncle and Poseidon’s older brother had caused trouble in the past but nothing so catastrophic or life threatening to the beings Una and her sisters had been charged with keeping watch over.

Named the Guardians of the Zodiac, the Daughters of Poseidon had long been protecting Earth and her humans from afar. Una could scarcely remember the last time her boots had walked the terra firma, smelled the sweet scents of the many blossoms and tasted of the bounty only the small blue and green planet had to offer. It had always been their directive to lend assistance from afar, never to cross paths with the humans and always remain the deities they were intended to be. Things had now changed. Una would be the first of her sisters to fight alongside the ever resilient race with the hopes of saving them from certain demise. The first to do what they’d been training for since they were old enough to hold their weapons.

Bowing, her bow at her side, the Guardian of Pisces asked, “When shall I leave? Shall I take Drákon?”

Without turning away from his view of the Earth, Poseidon nodded, “You will need to leave this night, my daughter. When the veil between our worlds is the thinnest. By all means, take the dragon with you. You will need the help.”

Breathing a sigh of relief, Una called to her constant companion and training partner, Drákon, a centuries old sea dragon her father had given the power to change from his original form to that of a human man. “We’re a go. Put on that flesh suit you’re so fond of and meet me in a hour at the docks.”
“Hell yeah,” Drákon cheered, using the human vernacular he’d been studying for centuries. “Yippee ki yay…”
“Whoa, there cowboy,” Una smiled, glad she’d been paying attention when her companion read out loud. “That’s a good way to meet the pointy end of Dad’s trident.”

“Duly noted.” The ancient being was once again all business. “See you at the docks.”

Working hard to chuckle and happier than she could admit to be leaving the pomp and circumstance of her father’s court, Una answered, “See you there.”

Excerpt 2 - Spicy (please choose one and delete the other)

“Hello, Pinkípissa Una. I missed you so when I awoke and you were gone.”

Turning in his arms, she looked deep into the whiskey-colored eyes of the hellhound who’d captured her heart. She loved that he spoke in the native tongue of the gods. Combined with his deep, rumbling baritone and sexy accent, it was irresistible. She couldn’t imagine a time when he wouldn’t take her breath away. Leaning into his embrace, Una sighed as his lips met hers. She opened completely, reveled in the arousal racing through her veins as their tongues danced a sexy tango of their own design.

Desire filled her being, growing stronger, more profound with every second. Whimpering with need at the hellhound’s bold advances, their hearts beat as one as he stoked the flames of want and desire with his every touch.

Spinning their bodies while maintaining their embrace, Una soon found her back against the cool of the stone behind her and her legs wrapped around he’s waist. Her panties were immediately soaked with her excitement as he rolled his hips between her thighs, teasing her throbbing clit feeding her overwhelming need to come. Raking her nails down his back, feeling the ripple of the tribal markings under her fingertips, Una held Brody close, digging her hands into the taunt muscles of his ass to keep him in place.

Tearing his lips from hers, her hellhound nibbled along her jaw and down her neck as he slipped one hand under her bum and pressed his hips tighter to her center while his other hand traveled between her legs, ripping the silk of her panties and sliding two fingers into her already slick pussy. Una mewled as he fucked her with his fingers, turning her arousal into desperation.

Shoving her hands into his long silken hair, the she-wolf pulled his mouth back to hers, and bit his bottom lip before sucking his tongue into her mouth. His resulting growl spurred her on as she rode his fingers with wild abandon, her orgasm careening towards her like an out of control wild fire. The pad of Brody’s thumb found her clit and with little more than a touch Una was screaming her release as untold pleasure spread throughout her body.

Not giving her even a minute of respite, her mate pulled his fingers from her pussy, let her wobbly legs slide down his body and spun her around, caging her in with his own body and placing their combined hands on the boulder before her. Moving one hand from hers and sliding it between their bodies, Una heard the telltale whine of his zipper a second before his lips were once again at her ear whispering, “I must have you, i kardí mou. I must feel you wrapped around me, joined as one. You are mine, Una and I will have you, love you, mark you as my mate for all to see.”

His words ended just as his calloused hand rubbed down the globe of her ass, slipped into her pussy and out again just before the head of his cock slid into her sleek channel. Her nails scratched at the rock as in one slow glide, her hellhound filled her so tightly she felt him in every fiber of her being.

Their bodies fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. His chest was plastered to her back as he kissed her shoulder, whispering of his undying love and their eternity together. Pulling back, followed by a quick thrust that forced fire to rush through her veins and Una was lost to the pleasure. Over and over Brody thrust into her, forcing all thought from her mind, pushing her back to the edge of pleasure she had just fallen over mere minutes before.

Needing to come more that she needed to breathe, Una begged, “Please… please, agapiméni Hellhound mou…” “Yes, agápi mou. Yes. Orycheío gia pánta.”

She couldn’t stop the smile that crossed her lips as he stated she would always belong to him. Their love was so complete, so beautiful, at times not even she could believe how the gods, specifically her father, the mighty Poseidon, had blessed her.

His hands closed even tighter over hers as he growled, “Say it! Say it, now!”

Her body closed even tighter around his as he drove in and out of her with such force the words spilled from her lips, “Yes, yes, agápi mou…yours, always yours.”

Her words pushed some button deep within the man she now had no doubts was her chosen mate. His strokes became frantic. His cock branded her as his for all eternity a mere second before she was flying high, the intensity of her orgasm stealing the breath from her lungs. Sure nothing could feel any better, Una suddenly felt his canines sink into the flesh of her shoulder. The mixture of pleasure and pain shattered whatever control she had been holding onto. Lights, like fireworks, burst behind her closed eyelids. She screamed and moaned and begged. Her nails extended into the claws of her water dragon, one of the many forms that were hers to call, as beautiful, shimmering blue-green scales appeared on the backs of her hands. One final thrust and Brody was roaring so loud the ground beneath her feet shook.

“Mine! Dikos Mou!

Her pussy sucked him deep inside, her body reveled in the feel as he bathed her insides with his warm semen. Una never wanted to be anywhere but in Brody’s arms. The world be damned, she had found her forever Mini orgasms continued to rock her core as his cock slid from her pussy and he spun her around.

Kissing her like she was the most precious thing in all the world, her hellhound lifted her into his arms and walked into the cave they would be calling home while n earth. “Oh, agápi mou, my Una…”

Recall, Book 2 in the Cyborg Chronicles is here.

Here is a sneak peek at Recall.

Minerva cast a glance back to her commander and friend before falling in step beside the muscular sniper. People swarmed around them, effectively boxing them in. Someone bumped into her from behind causing her to stumble.
“Stay close,” Gage said. His fingers wrapped around her elbow and he drew her into his body.
She gulped at his closeness. The muscles of his abdomen brushed against her open palm. She remembered too well what the planes of his stomach felt like. The night Lara had been confirmed MIA, she’d needed comfort. Gage had stumbled upon her in a moment of weakness and one thing had led to another. She’d woken up alone in her room, and neither of them had spoken of that night since.
It was probably for the best. These days, relationships only brought pain. She’d had to break the news too many times to a significant other that their partner had passed. It was the worst part of her job, and she never wanted to be on the receiving-end of that conversation.
A third explosion erupted into the night, jarring her from her thoughts and painting the darkened sky orange. The ground trembled. People screamed and shoved. Someone ran into her back, ripping Gage away from her. An arm wrapped around her waist, clasped onto her coat, and shoved her toward the ground.
She gasped, fighting to stay upright. If she fell, she’d be trampled to death. Her heart hammered against her chest. She searched for Gage but didn’t see him. A body rammed into her from the side. The breath whooshed out of her lungs. The person who had her waist clamped onto her tighter, refusing to let go.
Another person hit her on the right side. One foot tripped over the other. She fell forward and her cheek bashed into someone’s shoulder. The ground jumped at her. She brought her arms up, bracing for impact.
“Get off,” Gage said. He caught her, hauling her to him. She gasped when she collided with his chest. Her lungs burned, desperate to draw in a breath while, behind her, Gage grunted, as he shoved at something.
Her jacket was jerked to the side and halfway down her arm, but the hand gripping her finally released its hold. A body slammed into her, smashing her against Gage. The breath whooshed out of her lungs again. She groaned, drawing a burning breath into her lungs.
Gage wrapped both his arms around her for support. He began walking again, pushing them through the shrieking crowd.
“Hold tight,” Gage’s gruff voice said in her ear. “We lost Mac and Lara. I want to double back and find them.”
Minerva jerked her head up to meet Gage’s cocoa-colored eyes. His gaze held hers for a moment before he maneuvered them through the crowd. She curled her fingers around his arm, holding so tight that her knuckles turned white.
The crowds moved around them. There were so many people. Hundreds. No thousands. It was going to be impossible to find their team.
“Please remain calm. The threat has been neutralized,” an automated voice belted out above the roaring crowd. “Please continue to Carson Street. Authorities are standing by to help.”
The announcement calmed the crowd. People quit shoving. Their screams quieted to murmurs, some of them praising their saviors.
If they only knew.
She snapped her attention to Gage. His gaze roamed the area ahead of them. Nearly a foot taller than her, he could see what lay ahead better than she could. Her eyes fixated on him. A fine sheen of sweat shone on his olive skin, his dark brown hair was mussed, and stubble adorned his jaw. The sniper was really cute, and great in bed. Why hadn’t she pursued anything with him? Because he’d left her in the middle of the night like she’d been a dirty secret. And this was definitely not the time to be thinking about that. They were in the middle of a warzone, for crying out loud. What was wrong with her?
“We need to get off the road,” Gage’s voice jarred her from her thoughts. He dipped his head down until his lips were against her ear. “I don’t like all the guards. It’s too risky.”
Minerva nodded. She and Gage were packing heat — if by some chance they were searched, that fact could put them six feet under really quick. Citizens of the Alliance weren’t allowed to own guns.
“Come on.” Gage pressed against her. He used his arm to push people out of his way, making a small path for them to move through. He drew up short, muttering something beneath his breath that she couldn’t understand.
She peered between the people. It was hard to see much with only the glow of the moon for light, but she could see a short distance ahead. There was an entrance to an underground subway station, guarded by two uniformed men. Gage turned his head from side to side. She mimicked his movements. It would be impossible to walk against the crowd. There were too many people.
“What do we do?” she asked more to herself than to him.
“We don’t want to go to one of their safe zone camps.” Gage ducked his head down so she could hear him. “If we don’t make it to the rendezvous point, we’ll be left behind.”
Minerva gulped at the reminder. There was a submarine waiting for them in California. It would leave for Hawaii, the resistance’s base of operations, with or without them. The rebellion was fierce but small. If you fell behind enemy lines, there weren’t reinforcements available to rescue you. They’d be on their own.
“I’m game for whatever you think is best,” she said. While she was trained in combat, her expertise was medicine. This was her first, and hopefully last, trip into the field.
“We have to get in there — there’re entrances to the city’s sewer system down there. And we can move freely through the city without being caught. We can take out those two guards, hopefully before anyone even realizes what is happening.”
“Okay.” The plan sounded good. “How do you know there’s access to the sewers there?”
He didn’t answer her. Instead, he hauled her toward him and shoved his way through the crowd, making a beeline for the terminal entrance.
The two guards took a step forward when they saw them approaching.
“You need to proceed to Carson Street,” one of them said.
The other guard stared at them but made no attempt to move. He cocked his head to the side, studying Gage for a moment. Minerva gulped as she took in the man’s cool, calculating eyes. He looked human, but she’d bet good money he wasn’t; he was too stoic and emotionless. She swallowed. He was a cyborg.
Gage let go of her arm, lunged forward, and, with a swing of his arm, dealt the guard closest to him a blow to the jaw. The man toppled to the ground. His partner tried to draw his gun, but Gage was too quick for him. He spun on his heel, whipped the gun from the guard’s hand, and used the butt of it to hit him on the top of the head.
This guard didn’t go down. He blinked at Gage as if he hadn’t even felt the attack. A scream bubbled up Minerva’s throat. It was a cyborg. The man took a step forward, lifted his wrist, and shoved Gage.
Gage’s feet flew out from under him as he was tossed into the wall several feet away. His back smacked into the concrete hard enough for it to crack. The cyborg turned his attention to Minerva with a leer. Her eyes flitted to his forehead where a cut was knitting itself back together. All that remained of Gage’s earlier attack was a trace of crimson.
Fight! The word resounded in her head. Her fingers went to the gun tucked beneath her jacket. Before the cyborg could take a step toward her, Gage launched himself at the machine and tackled it to the ground.
The two wrestled on the sidewalk as they fought for control.
“Do not resist,” the cyborg said, its voice void of any emotion. “Mr. Murdock wants you taken in alive.”
Gage punched the cyborg in the nose and then brought the end of the gun down on its temple. The cyborg bucked up, throwing Gage off him. He grabbed Gage by the shoulders and slammed him into the ground. “Do not resist.”
Gage sputtered. Blood dribbled from his nose and the gash over his eye.
“I am taking you into custody,” the cyborg said. He grasped one of Gage’s hands and jerked it behind his back.
Minerva grabbed her gun, aimed, and fired. A crack rang out, echoing off the buildings. Silence filled the air for a second before screams from the crowd behind them cut through.
The cyborg groaned as it toppled to the ground. Minerva tucked her gun away, chanced a glance over her shoulder to see if anyone was coming, and went to Gage. The sniper was putting the cyborg’s gun into his jacket.
“We need to get out of here.” She dropped to her knees to survey the damage to Gage’s face.
Her gaze went to the cut near his eye. The wound was deep —blood poured out of it. She cursed under her breath. She’d left her first aid kit behind with the vehicle and this wound needed pressure applied and soon, not to mention stitches.
She tugged at her shirt, ready to tear a piece of it to use as a compress. Her gaze darted to Gage’s head to see how big a piece she needed. The wound was disappearing, growing smaller by the second until it was nothing more than a mess of drying blood.
Minerva fell on her butt, scrambling away from him. That wasn’t possible. Cyborgs were the only people who could heal that fast. Realization knocked the breath out of her. She tried to scream but nothing came out.
Oh shit! Gage Martin is a cyborg.

Here’s a snippet from Phoenix Down, book one of the Invasion Series.
Sir! I’m picking up life signs.”
Captain Zephyr Cree turned to his science officer, Orion. The shuttle was flying low to pick up life signs, and it appeared Orion had found some. “Where?”
“If we transport a team down now, we might be able to save them…well, wait a second. We just lost one.”
Zephyr’s face fell as he looked up to meet Orion’s eyes.
“The Imangi are already there. I have one life sign with an Imanji and there’s a cluster of them running away with the Imanji in pursuit. They’re all bunched together. It’s hard to tell how many humans there are. At their speed though, they won’t get far. The Imanji will catch them in less than two minutes.”
Zephyr turned to his team. They sat along one of the benches across the back of the shuttle. “Alpha Team, collect the group and bring them on board. Orion, send me to the single life sign,” he said, nodding at the solitary flashing blue blip on the radar.
“Sir? It’s unlikely—”
“Now!” He knew the odds weren’t good, but he had to try. It was their fault this planet was in trouble.
Orion nodded once and typed something in on his pad. Zephyr closed his eyes as his body dissipated, thanks to their teleportation tech, and rematerialized outside a building.
An Imanji’s high-pitched voice squealed as it yelled at its victim. The overwhelming urge to save the human drove him forward. Zephyr called upon his inner beast; the phoenix inside him bristled, taking control. His body heated until fire erupted over his skin. His bones shifted, turning his arms to wings as he transformed into the large burning bird. He flapped his wings to stretch them before taking flight. The Imanji were no match for him now.
He flew toward the door, spewing fire from his mouth at the building. The wall incinerated, revealing a young woman. Red trickled from her nose, forehead, and cheek; Zephyr assumed it was blood.
Her amber eyes met his and widened, locking gazes with him and blinking as she ignored the Imanji’s compulsion. He’d never met another species that could defy the Imanji. Fascinating. He knew he had to save her.
The Imanji leader lifted its palm to the woman’s forehead while holding her in place with his other hand. It seemed to be unaware of the phoenix, and Zephyr planned to use that to his advantage, he had to save this woman. She struggled in his grasp, but she was no match for its superior strength.
Zephyr pushed himself faster, darting in through the opening and lunging for the Imanji who was ready to suck the woman’s life force away. Catching the creature with his talons and jabbing the sharpened points into his enemy, Zephyr let the fire course through his body and out through his claws as he shoved the alien away from the woman. The Imanji wailed, flailing about. Flames engulfed its body, but still it slithered back toward the woman.
Zephyr spread his wings and flapped them vigorously, thrusting the Imanji away. It slid across the room and collided with the wall laying motionless.
The woman screamed and Zephyr cast a glance back at her, watching as her auburn hair blew across her face. Her balance waivered from the current his wings projected. He stopped flapping his wings, but it was too late. She fell face first, but managed to twist at the last second, landing with a sickening crunch on her shoulder.
